Live life to the fullest...VOLUNTEER!!

The Volunteer Bureau of Leeds and Grenville is a non-profit, United Way member agency that matches interested people with their choice of rewarding volunteer opportunities from over 100 community service organizations throughout Leeds and Grenville.  There are many of fulfilling volunteer opportunities in areas such as children and youth, seniors, health, the environment, arts and culture, special events and more!

How we make a difference in your community

The Volunteer Bureau of Leeds and Grenville works to build a healthier, stronger, and more caring community in a variety of ways:

  • Matching volunteers with non-profit agencies who can use their skills, energies, and experiences.
  • Providing tools, training and consulting services to help non-profit agencies manage volunteer resources effectively.  This ensures that volunteers have a rewarding experience and their contribution has maximum impact on the community.
  • Assisting employers in developing workplace volunteer programs.
  • Developing tomorrow's community leaders today through leadership training programs.
  • Providing supported volunteer experiences for new Canadians and consumers of mental health services.
  • Promoting the growth of volunteering in Leeds and Grenville through media, corporate relations and a website.

Why Volunteer?

Do it for yourself! Studies show there is a significant correlation between volunteerism and longer life with better health.  This fun and healthy pastime also allows you to apply your skills and discover new abilities.  You'll come away with a tremendous sense of accomplishment and many new contacts.

Do it for others! Enjoy the pleasure of helping others by making your community a better place, or promoting a cause you believe in.

So you've read the available information and you want to involve yourself.  Great!  Here's how.
