Student Caring Awards - Participate

What:           Caring Awards for Student Volunteering

Who:            To be eligible for an award, you must:

• Be a full time student within one of the four age categories.

1.      K-6

2.      7-9

3.      10-12

4.     University/College/Adult Learners      in a degree, diploma or certificate program.

• Have completed your volunteer work in the communities of Leeds and Grenville

• Have exceeded the 40 hours of community involvement mandated by the Ministry of Education (High School students only) 

When  Deadline for nominations is MARCH 28, 2008 at 4pm. There will be one award recipient in each age category. The recipients will receive a plaque, certificate and recognition on the Volunteer Bureau’s website and during National Volunteer Week. A ceremony will be held in April 2008 to formally present the recipients with their awards. 

Why    The Caring Awards have been designed to recognize exceptional student volunteers in Leeds and Grenville who demonstrate good citizenship and a willingness to better their community by modeling caring, integrity, fairness, respect and empathy.
